Rule #9

Rule #9:

9) Use linear material for the pathways to elongate the paths and their directionality.

The pathways break up the building’s interior with linearity and directionality, therefore they should be made of a material that enhances these aspects.  A linear material (such as wood flooring) should be used in building the pathways.  When using this material, the connections where different pathways meet can become very interesting, and can enhance the directionality of the pathways extending from it.
